Latest update 4/1/22

Please see below a survey from Carmarthenshire County Council's school Governor Unit and Welsh Government, regarding changes to the school term currently being considered by Welsh Government. Please note that, if you choose to take part in the survey, your views will go to Welsh Government not to us at Dyffryn Taf.

Annwyl bawb

Mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn ystyried opsiynau o amgylch strwythur y diwrnod ysgol a'r flwyddyn ysgol.

Mae Parentkind a'r Grŵp Gweithredu ar Dlodi Plant wedi cydweithio i greu arolwg byr i rieni er mwyn rhoi cyfle iddynt rannu eu barn ar ddiwygio'r diwrnod ysgol a'r flwyddyn ysgol yng Nghymru.

Byddem yn gwerthfawrogi pe gallech rannu'r ddolen i'r arolwg er mwyn annog rhieni i gymryd rhan. Y dyddiad cau yw Ionawr 23ain.

Dear all

The Welsh Government is exploring options around the structure of the school day and the school year.

Parentkind and the Child Poverty Action Group have worked together to create a short survey for parents to give them the chance to share their views on reforming the school day and school year in Wales.

We would appreciate if you could share the link to the survey to encourage parents to take part. The closing date is January 23rd.

We are delighted to share with you the work of one of our Year 13 students, Holly Murcott. Holly is a member of our Senior Prefect Team and a talented artist. She took time during lockdown to design and illustrate a children's book explaining Covid-19 for primary age pupils in a colourful and imaginative way. We are sure you will agree that it strikes the balance of being fun and engaging but with the right tone and enough seriousness to get messages across. Great work Holly!
